Among the material from the early 1950’s I discovered a typewritten manuscript of a condensed history of Grosse Pointe dating back to its settlement by French habitants in the early 18th century. The author is Kenneth Moore, one of the founding members of the Friends in 1948. He died in 1951. So the history ends around 1950. – Richard Larry (Retired from Board of Directors of the Friends)
